and the BGSU Bassoon Studio
REEDS
Good reeds are ESSENTIAL to bassoon playing. Any player can sound bad if their reed is not up to par. Bassoonists spend a large portion of their time on reed making, and music majors in the BGSU studio are expected to make their own. I have listed several documents on this page to help you either begin the reed making process or continue improving your efforts. Remember: Make a lot of reeds and chances are you will have a good one! or two… or three….
